Slept funny, now right thumb, index & middle fingers are numb

I was on vacation and passed out from a rare evening of drinking.  I must have slept on my arm because when I awoke my thumb, index & middle fingers were numb.  It does not seem to be getting worse, but it's also not getting better.

It has been over a week, will feeling eventually return?

i have the same thing! has your thumb gone back to normal? I have been seeing a chiroprator but nothing is improving

Thank you, and no, I am not a chronic alcoholic.  As I stated, I was on vacation and this was a rare night of drinking.

Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. These symptoms could be due to radial nerve injury following a binge and falling asleep with your arm hanging over the arm rest causing radial nerve compression at the spiral groove and hence these symptoms. If you are a chronic alcoholic, you could have malnutrition, poor appetite, vitamin B1 deficiency, and in severe conditions, a syndrome called wernicke korsakoff. There could be balance issues and radial nerve compression under intoxicated state. Consult a neurologist for evaluation. Wishing you all the best.
