Sore Skin

I'm experiencing extremely sore skin on my back and arms, which feels like severe sunburn and hurts to be touched or even where a shirt.  I've read from other viewers that this may be neurological and stem from a previuos injury.  Could the recent spinal fusion surgery I've had be the cause of this and how long I can expect it to last?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there.  Extreme sensitivity to skin and heightened painful response to pressure could be due to fibromyalgia, post herpetic neuralgia caused by shingles and chicken pox. Certain other conditions which cause the skin painful to touch are chronic fatigue syndrome, deficiencies of vitamin B1, B2, B6, migraine, and tactile defensiveness. Tactile defensiveness is caused by midbrain defect.
Post spinal fusion may be responsible if certain nerve roots are damaged or entrapped. A nerve study would be required. A pain physician consultation would help in treatment options. Take care.
