Sudden Joint Pain

About a month ago I got bronchitis within a matter of hours.  That I noticed anyway.  All of a sudden I couldn't stop coughing and my lungs were heavy and they itched so bad!  I went right to the doctor who prescribed the Zpac.  Silly me started taking that Garcinia stuff and Raspberry Ketone stuff at the same time.  Needless to say I don't know what I was allergic to but broke out in the WORST rash everywhere!  I had no relief.  Not even Benadryl helped.  I finished the Zpac and stopped taking everything else but ended up going to urgent care because my throat was swelling.  After a steroid shot my throat swelling went down and with a matter of hours almost my entire rash was gone.  I took steroid for 4 days and then pepcid for a week.  Skip ahead two weeks....out of nowhere my elbow joint is hurting.  I thought it was odd since I haven't been able to go to the gym for awhile from being sick.  By that night both elbows and knees hurt.  The next morning my ankles and wrists.  I feel like I'm 80 years old and I'm only 34!  I'm extremely healthy and active and never had health problems.  It's been a week and I still hurt so bad.  My calves ache at times from the pain.  Tylenol brings a little relief but I'm terrified as to what is happening to me.  We have no family history of any type of severe arthritis, only grandmother had breast cancer at almost 80 years old.  The only thing is high blood pressure but I have eaten super healthy my whole life so it's normally in the 120s over 80s.   Insurance doesn't cover squat anymore and being a single parent doesn't make it easy when i just dropped almost $300 from just being sick.  i'm scared im going to go in and they are going to pump me full of drugs and testing galore that I can't afford!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Sudden onset multiple joint pain can be due MS, lupus, STD, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, viral fever, chronic fatigue syndrome, or rheumatism. It can also be reactive arthritis due to allergy to something or in reaction to an illness, fever or autoimmune disorder.
In your case it is probably a reactive arthritis. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

KMathurMD,

Thank you for the reassurance.   I was starting to feel better and then took an antihistamine and I started all over with the pain.  Maybe I should just let my body heal before trying to put additional stuff in it.  I'm hoping it will go away completely.  In the meantime I take aspirin at night and it's helping.  I'm sipping away at a mixture of fresh parsley and garlic in chicken broth.  Not the best taste, but surprisingly it is really helping me feel better.   Thank you again :)
