Sudden dizziness

I am an overall healthy 28 year old woman.  I woke up this morning with my ear clogged.  Within an hour or so, it was better and I could hear normally.  A couple hours later, at work, a strange faint, dizziness took over.  I couldnt focus or think straight -- it was a very hard feeling to describe (I have never fainted).  I was not shaky or clammy.  I walked to the kitchen sat down and had a cup of OJ (thinking is may have been low blood sugar).  30 minutes later, I felt no better.  I started to get very nrevous and had what i think was a panic attack.  I calmed myself down and had a co-worker check my BS and BP.  After a second cup of OJ my BS was 111 and my BP was 136/70 (my normal BP runs 100s-110s systolic).  After 1.5 hours I started to feel pretty much back to normal-- but very tired.  I came home from work and slept for a couple hours.  I do not take any medications.  I also took a pregnancy test which was negative.  A year ago, after a cold, my ear was clogged for over a month affecting my hearing and my balance slightly --I saw my primary who prescribed flonase and spoke with a pulmonologist at worked who recommended sudafed (which is i think what finally cleared it).
What do you think caused this "dizziness"? It was an awful and scary feeling.  And/or what can I do to prevent it?
Thankyou

Hi, I understand how scary an episode such as that can b. If u carry dramamine...it can help. There r 2 kinds of vertigo......I am sure ur dr can explain it better than I could.
A yr ago, was ur issue an infection?.....

There r many diff conditions with similar symptoms.

If u had recent labs see if ur vit levels were checked...B12, D ...also calciuo, potassium and magnessium.....all could also play a part in ur symptoms.
Thyroid should also b checked.

Good luck
Godspeed
