Swollen optic nerve and no answers

About a year ago I went to an opthamologist for a new prescription for glasses and found out I had swollen optic nerves.  I immediately went through MRI/MRA/MRV testing, lumbar puncture, lots of blood work, and saw a neurologist, retinal specialist, and family physician.  A year later, I am going for the second MRI tomorrow as well as an ENT due to very bad vertigo, and seeing another opthamologist that is experienced with the neuro conditions on January 2nd.  I am very frustrated at the fact that not one of these professionals can explain what is going on with me.

I now only have one optic nerve that is swollen, but I feel like the more I research MS, the more I feel that my syptoms are so common to that disease.  Something is causing the optic neuritis and I just want to find out what so that I can start to live anxiety free from the worry of what is wrong.

I have vision loss, memory issues, chronic grumpy bowel syndrome, high anxiety, high stress job, shake like a mad person, vertigo, and numbness in my scalp which is an odd one according to others.

I just want to find out what is wrong so that I can feel normal again.

Thank you for your input.  Yes, I have had the spinal tap done and it was very normal.  The frustration lies in the fact that I normally have a low blood pressure, and have had pre-hypertensive levels for the past few months until I went on Ativan.  I kept telling them that my head felt like it was going to explode.  They ignored that as if it meant nothing.  My neck would ache straight up to my temples.  My eyes feel heavy like I am sleep deprived all the time and the vertigo and memory issues are so annoying.

Since starting the Ativan, the pressure has been relieved as well as the vertigo.  I drove 5 times in the past week for the first time in over 2 months.

have they ruled out pseudotumor cerebri/intracranial hypertension?
that is how i was diagnosed...by the swollen optic nerves...there is pressure in your head somehow... only way to prove that is to have a spinal tap lying on your side and they have to measure opening pressure.... normal is 20 and under...mine was 36....ouch!!
