How are you doing? I have now had my first appointment with my physiotherapist. She says she can't guarantee that I won't need surgery but will have a good go at exercises that I can do so I can avoid it.
Thumbs up for Dr. Martin. Well, hang in there. Hopefully we can both pull through this.
It is good but the waiting times are soooo long because it's free and there is never quite enough money pumped into it. You can get seen more quickly if you have private healthcare, which some companies offer. I didn't take it up.
I do like Doc Martin. He reminds me very much of my own doctor with his bedside manner.
Wow, I thought medical care in the UK was top notch. I know it's only a tv show, but I watch Doc Martin once in a while. Lately I had been wishing I lived in England after watching a few episodes.
It's good you have a little reassurance.
Mine are, too so I sympathise. My problems started in February of this year and I am now on the waiting list for physiotherapy. I don't know when that will be and, unfortunately, I have heard that they are very slow. It is a worry, isn't it? I went to my doctor today and they haven't even had my notes yet so they can't explain and clarify a few things I don't understand. She did say it's a common problem, though, which is kind of reassuring
I may just head to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix if things don't work out with these doctors. They seem to be in slow motion for someone that is having serious neurologic issues. I appreciate your responses.
Yes. I think they will. An Mri will give the full picture
I did have an EMG of my legs because initially that's where all this began. The leg issues have calmed down, but it seems to have shifted to the tingling and weakness in my shoulders and arms. I'm sure the neurologist will want to do an EMG on my arms once I tell him about my arm issues.
I think stenosis was mentioned with me too and I'm 44. I had an Emg and there's slight neuropathy in my left arm. I dont know if it's permanent or not. I'm in the uk
My primary did say she saw the spine xray interpretation and there was a mention of stenosis. She said that was normal for a person my age. I'm starting to question the medical professionals in the Las Vegas area.
It could be a disc pressing on your nerves in your neck. The feeling then radiates down your arms
