Vertigo and Music Playing in the Brain

My wife had a cold a few years back which sent her into a Vertigo state i.e. head spinning.  Ever since then, she cannot listen to music because it continues to playback in her head all day long.  She has a hard time sleeping because of this.  This is my way to reach out to help her try to find some relief for this condition.  I have searched the internet trying to find a solution, but have not found exact symptoms to match hers.

Has anyone experienced this and any suggestions on how to get rid of it?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My mother, who is 88, just started having this problem.  Songs sung over and over in her head throughout the day and at night.  What was your wife's diagnosis after the MRI?

I'm going for an MRI this Thursday. I told the neurologist that I have 3 songs stuck in my head.  Only the chorus replays in my head.  Talk about drive u crazy!!!  My blood pressure was high and he told me that my brain may have swelled and delayed my thinking process that's y he ordered an MRI.  I'm taking Vistaril and it has calmed me down a lot with my anxiety and the music in my head.   After I get my results I will post them here .  I wish everyone the best!!
