This could be related to narcolepsy. Essentially narcolepsy is a defect of the control of REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep so that it may occur when you are half-awake. I have seen strange fuzzy-focus scenes. I am self-diagnosed with Celiac 3 months ago but doing immensely better on a gluten free diet. Unfortunately my sleep issues are worse: no more cramping, but more strange awakenings, sleep paralysis, and nonrestorative sleep. All of this suggests that I may have narcolepsy. Next month, I get a sleep study, and I may get a real diagnosis.
interesting. I often get a zinging sensation from my step all the way up into m y torso and down my arms. It seems like L'hermite sign, but I don't know why I have it.
I just had a positive antibody test for celiac, and have a biopsy scheduled next month.
I also had a positive anti-rho test, without sx of Sjogren's.... yet
What the heck!!
Great minds think alike! I mentioned the celiac part because I saw an older post that was similiar and the doctor suggested that the person may have a gluten intolerance. So, I wanted to mention that to rule it out.
Of all my many medical problems with Sjogrens this is low on my list but was just curious. I keep yelling out to my partner that "we're having an earthquake".
That's very interesting. I just posted a similar question, am also a celiac and on a gluten free diet. Maybe connected?
