Can the symptoms of Syringomyelia just disappear?

I was diagnosed with Syringomyelia about four weeks ago. Two syrinx at C6-C7 (13 mm & 12 mm) causing me a large amount of pain in my neck and pain shooting through my shoulder and right arm (quite painful and brought on by any movement I make, even just walking)

About a week ago I woke up and found myself pain free. Since then I have had no pain at all.

I don't know how or why the pain has stopped and was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why this has happened?
Is this something that others have experienced?
Can Syringomyelia just cure itself?
Should I be worried about the feeling just going away?

Thanks guys

Hi Davrol and welcome to MedHelp.

You may want to hop over to the Chiari forum as there are members there that have Syringomyelia....it is a related condition to Chiari....

With Chiari the symptoms cycle...so they can come and go and change....I do not have a syrinx but I do not know if they can resolve on their own....

Do you know if your syrinx's are due to a congenital condition or was it acquired due to an injury?

From what I understand a syrinx can numb you to pain after a time...and left untreated can lead to perm nerve damage....only your Dr can tell you what is going on and how it is affecting you and your overall health.

Stop by the Chiari forum and talk with others that have a syrinx-
