Weird soreness over head

I have a weird sore sensation over the top of my head (if you think where a hairband would like- kind of center middle of head & to the sides). When i sniff its sore, which is often at the moment as i have an horrendous cold. but before i had the cold it was sore when i sniffed.
Also sometimes the scalp around there feels sensitive to touch & burns too.

Would appreciate your help?
Could this be sinus or does this suggest something else?

How would i know if i had contact dermatitis? There are no scabs or anything there and no i hvnt used anything new.

I had it real bad a few weeks ago & it went but only hurts when i sniff now. Do you think this could be anything serious ?? I also keep getting random tingly sensations/points in my back too, is this related? And i have tmj.

I am worried its something serious like an aneurysm or ms or something

Hi,

Hope you are feeling better.
At the moment your symptoms are suggestive of sinusitis especially since you have a cold and soreness and burning pain on the scalp.
I would suggest you to take steam inhalation and oral decongestants in case you are not doing these already.
Sometimes a course of antibiotics is required to clear the sinus infection.
Other causes that need to be kept in mind are contact dermatitis of the scalp which occurs due to a hair product like shampoo or conditioner. Have you recently started using a new hair product?
