What could cause face tingling/coldness and hand/foot paresthesia?

48 yo white male, good health, with controlled hypertension.

About 4-6 months ago I started getting tingling in my hands and feet.  I started taking B12, which helped a lot for about 3 months, but two weeks ago I started getting burning feet and hands, tingling patches on hands and feet.  These patches were small, usually involving a couple of toes, or along the bottom side of the foot.  The patches would tingle for a day or two, then move to a new location.

I've been getting B12 shots twice a month and taking daily 6000 mcg sublingual tablets.

I have no problem with any other sensory information, can feel hot and cold, can feel vibration, can feel very light touch. My reflexes are good, and my strength is great. It's just an odd tingle.  It's not even very strong, just a simple tingle or burning sensation like I've been walking on my feet all day.  Doesn't get worse at night.  Hot or cold doesn't affect it.

It affects both sides of my body.  And it comes and goes.  Today I barely feel it in my feet and none in my hands.

Well, a couple of days ago I started feeling a cold patch on my face, under my lips.  It just started as a little thing on the right side, now it's both sides.  I do have HSV-1, but this does not feel like a prodrome.

It's not a real tingle, it's just kinda cold.

I have an appointment with a neurologist, but it's a month away.  It's hard to see a neuro around here.

But in looking online, I don't see any thing that is very particular to my symptoms.  It's all vague.

I'm wondering if this is an "oh crap" thing or an "oh well" thing.

Looking for some advice or perspective on this, please.

Hi, this is the original poster.  I did want to follow up with all my neurological testing.

Brain MRI normal.  Nerve conductivity and EMG are normal.

But copper levels were low normal.  I do take zinc supplements.

I stopped taking the zinc and supplementing with copper.

The paresthesia is gone.

So, it was just low copper I think.

I do have some muscle twitchiness, but I think that's just a side effect of my nerves getting healthy again.
