What do I have with these symptoms, dizzyness or vertigo like symptoms along with mild disorientation

I am a 53 year old woman that is very active. I have been in good health through the years although when I was younger I had whiplash due to a fall skiing. I have had headaches over the years and had adjustments by a chiropractor which have helped. In the last 9 months when I bend my head to the right or left I feel a mild dizzyness or slight vertigo. Sometimes I feel a slight disorientation - for example if I go into the local grocery store which I am familiar I feel like I can't get my berings for a few seconds. I have had a cat scan which turned out fine. Any ideas if what is causing this? I need help please.

My mom is 56 she recently felt similar to you.  She said she had "dizzy head".  She would feel dizzy upon standing or changing positions.  She also felt  little disoriented.  Her doctor said she had an inner ear infection, and it was throwing her balance etc... out of whack.  There was no treatment buit it did take about 3-4 weeks for her to finally feel better.  Call your doctor and him if this could be a possibility.

Are you having in muscle pain or fatigue?  This is a long shot but sometimes after a neck injury you can develope fibromyalgia symptoms, feeling disoriented or unable to focus is a symptom.  Have you had any blood work to rule out anything major?  Do you have tender spots on your body, like when you put just a little pressure on a certain spot it feels very sore, or a deep achy feeling?
