What does this mean? My dr office called and said I need to see a neurosurgeon?

IMPRESSION:
1) No definite acute bony abnormalities. Foci of fat in the cervical
vertebra.
2. Subtle mild heterogeneous signal changes in the spinous processes of the
lower cervical spine and the adjacent tissues of unknown acute
significance. Sprain to the interspinous ligaments or contusion to the bone
involving the spinous processes would be a remote possibility. Please also
correlate clinically.
3. Mild degenerative changes with mild facet disease and mild to moderate
narrowing of neural foramen slightly worse on the left including at C4-5
and C5/6 levels.
4. Tarlov cysts in the root canals at C6-7 and C7-T1.

No idea.  If anything you'd see an orthopedic surgeon, but you don't mention your symptoms.  It appears your doc is concerned something is possibly going on with your nervous system somewhere. The person to ask your question is your doctor who referred you to a neurosurgeon.

I have been having lots of tingling and tons of pain. I called my dr and they said they are wanting me seen for the Tarlov cyst in my neck.
