What exactly are irritated brain waves?

I am a 51 year old female who had a TIA about 10 weeks ago.  Ever since then I had had more dizziness, blurred vision, and fatigue along with episodes of memory loss and frustration.  My Neurologist performed an EEG which showed "some irritated brain waves" which may or may not indicate that I have been having mild seizures.  Are these symptoms of seizures, and a warning of another TIA?

Hi,

How are you?
EEG records the electrical activity of the brain in the form of waves. There is a possibility that the irritated waves on EEG are due to neurologic injury that you suffered as a result of stroke.
Another possibility is that they are indicating sub clinical seizures. Post stroke seizures occur commonly and can cause changes in EEG.
These irritated brain waves are not a warning sign for imminent seizures. Hope this answers your question.
