What helps you best with neuropathy pain?

Mine neuropathy has been excruciating, but for most people it starts out in their feet, mine is in my hands. Every morning I wake up it takes me about 3 hours to get my hand to fully open. I can’t use them for too long or they go completely numb, and they hurt. I would rate the pain when it’s at its worst to a 8.5/10. I’m absolutely miserable and can’t stand it anymore. I have tried lyrica, and it gives me awful side affects. I have taken neurontin a couple of times, but it hasn’t seemed to help me, but I know that is a medication that needs time to build up in your system. Please any suggestions would help
