What is a sacral dural cyst?

I recently had  a CT of the pelvis and the impression states: Significant central erosions of the sacrum from bilateral sacral dural cysts. What are they and do i need surgery to get rid of them? I am also have numbness in my ring and pinky finger of my left hand, would these cysts cause this? Thanks for the help!

Hi Sassy,
Sacral nerve root cysts are commonly found during the third and fourth decades There is no typical characteristic clinical presentation. Most of the cases have been described in elderly women having a clinical picture remarkably similar to that of intervertebral disc prolapse or lumbar canal stenosis, which are often found to co-exist with this lesion
