Why is my foot falling asleep?

for two months i have experienced wierd things with my right thigh (from right foot). started with a small disconfort, now every time i lay on my back, after 10-15 minutes, my right thigh is going numb. this is happening only when i lay on my back, if i lay on the side, or face down, i didnt experienced this problem. also, i may have some pain in my back but just when i stay in specific position or arching my back in some way, this pain is not felt other way, but this is happening for some time now, i dont think its relevant . also, i had a huge shock a few months ago and 3 months ago i worked heavely at a house.  has anyone occur or experienced this simptoms ?

One option that I would look into is seeing a chiropractor to see if it is a pinched nerve that is causing these issues. My reasoning about this is because it only happens when you are laying flat on your back and no other position.
