Hi there. FDA approves hyperbaric oxygen therapy for enhancing tissue levels of oxygen. During therapy, there is substantial increase in amount of oxygen carried in all body fluids, including plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, etc. this allows increased oxygen levels in areas with poor blood supply and of tissue damage. Increasing tissue oxygen levels produces several long term therapeutic benefits like enhanced growth of new blood vessels, increased ability of white blood cells to destroy bacteria and remove toxins, increased growth of fibroblasts, and enhanced metabolic activity of previously depleted function cells including brain neurons. Your mother will have to enter a clear chamber where they breathe 100% oxygen delivered to the chamber under increased atmospheric pressure. This is also effective in a variety of brain disorders including head trauma, stroke, multiple sclerosis, hypoxic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy and vascular dementia. Hope this helps. Take care.
