Hi Hiter,
I experienced 2 major brain fog in my life. 13 years ago, I had a tick bite and suffered 15-day high fever. The brain fog lasted for less than a year after recovering from the fever. 3 years later after the recovery, I had another brain fog and this time it lasted almost 9 years. It turned out I had a root canal infection in my upper jaw. I was cured in Summer 2013. Also mold infested environment can cause brain fog. In my case the outbound air vent above my desk blew down roaches from time to time and the mold grew in my coffee cup if I left it over night on my desk. Pay close attention to surroundings and try to recall what happened, take notes, do research online and try to connect the dots. In my case, my family doctor and old dentist had no clue what happened to me. They do not have the knowledge nor the experience about what we had been through. Brain fog is a general symptom that can be caused by many other illness or allergies, infections, contaminated air, Candida overgrowth and etc. Get a 2nd and 3rd opinion and even see the infection specialist if must. Check out this website: http://www.drlwilson.com/articles/brain_fog.htm. It is educational. Good luck and best wishes.
You need a thorough medical exam and that would include seeing a rheumatologist and being tested for autoimmune diseases. There are more blood tests than the regular panel of testing that could be done also. Have you seen a neurologist or was this through your primary physician? I would ask for a referral to a neurologist. I hope you get answers.
From what i know they ran regular blood test and they said they didnt see anything that was abnormal are life threatening.....could those diseases causing my symptoms?
Did they check you for anemia or autoimmune diseases like Celiac disease?
