i am waiting for a mri scan to see if i have cerebellar atrophy,could this have been brought on through alcoholism and what is the symptoms and long term effect does it have

im not a doctor,but i have cerebellar atrophy going on 4 yrs. i cant walk,slurred speech,cant write or drive a car. yes chronic alcoholism can cause  this.the long term effect depends on what the cause is. i had a severe mycroplasma infection that cause this hell to take over my body. so if you drink,stop now and you could get better or not get any worse.find out what the cause is and maby you can stop the degeneration from getting any worse,hope this helps
