confusion symptoms

I am experiencing crazy symptoms: tachycardia, lightheadedness, receding and inflammed gums. EKG, cardiogram and basic blood work all normal.  Got woken up at nidnight with lightheadedness and warm waves/weakness moving across my body in sections.  it started with my head, moved in waves down to my feet, and back up. I ended up sleeping proped up against a pillow but my lower legs still feel that sensation.  They checked me for Sogrens, Thyroid, CBC- all normal.  My dentist said my gums seem okay, but I told them they hurt so he gave me a peroxidine gluconate rinse which helped, but the waking up lightheaded stuff just kicked in.  What could this be?

Thanks for writing in.
Your symptoms are very suggestive of panic attacks. Panic attacks are characterized by dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, tightness in the throat, and trouble swallowing.
Have you been unduly anxious lately?
Medications like diazepam, clonazepam are quite helpful. Please discuss this possibility with your treating doctor. Good luck!

I have only been anxious about my gums and the lightheadedness.  I am not having any trouble with my throat or swallowing or chest pain.  I am more concerned about my insulin.  I am not diabetic and My blood work showed my sugar level was normal.  Got any other suggestions?

Thanks so much
