Hi TF. Thanks, yes I know about that one - the specialist couldn't figure out which type of vertigo it was in the end - maybe it was two different sorts at once. I had vertigo for about 6-8 weeks, but luckily it went away. Got ataxia with it, not pleasant at all!
Google BPPV, or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. That's where my own vertigo comes from. Just so you have more info on possibilities.
Hi, Thank you for your question. From the symptoms you describe, it sounds that it could be a circulatory disturbance (due to compression of blood vessels), ear disorder or nerve pinched. This may be worsen by any clots in blood vessels, diabetes or any other underlying disorder. I would suggest evaluating all the possibilities with the help of a doctor first. Further referral to a neurologist will surely help you in getting a more precise opinion here. Hope this information proves help you.
Could be vertigo? Feel like you are on a moving boat or the world is spinning?
I experienced this recently for six weeks - not pretty! Mine was caused by a cold virus which gave me labyrinthitis (middle ear infection causing lack of balance/dizziness).
If it's not vertigo, at least that's one thing you can deduct. Hope you feel better soon.
