electrocuted without electricity

last night.  I was dead asleep at like 3 or 4 in the morning and was jolted awake by what i thought was electricity.  Scared the crap out of me.  I used my phone to search around the bed for sources of electricity; to find nothing amiss.  I have been seeing my doctor; my hands and feet have been numb for a month now.  sometimes it feels like pins and needles, but more of a numbing sensation.  help pls!  this has freaked my freak!

I saw an endo one time.  Got the hashimotos news and never saw this endo again, or any other for that matter.  i have had my blood drawn every 3 months to make sure its ok, and for the first time in as long as i can remember my last one read normal for my thyroid stuff.  iron and b12 were still low.  but since i have been taking both in pill form everyday.  this has actually made a notable difference in how i am feeling.
saturday night i had 7 beers and 3 shots.  i went to bed and woke up thru the night to go pee.  while in the bathroom i was feeling a bit ugh so i sat n waited it out.  i felt ok so headed back to bed.  i must have made it about 5 steps because i woke up, not sure how long i actually was, but i woke up thinking the bed was cold and oddly hard.  then i started to focus and thot where the heck am i.  i passed out i guess.  landed on my back i assume because this is how i woke up.  i can handle beer, liquor not so much, but 3 shots is not a lot.  i am unsure if this was because of the booze, as it was a good 4 hours into my sleep.  do u think this is related or isolated?  i am getting tired of feeling like i am dying!

About 2000, a relative using cymbalta had a similar reaction.  A trip to the ER didn't help. Now the fine print on the medication cautions tapering dosage when changing or discontinuing.  Hoping you feel much better!

When is the last time you saw an Endo?  I am assuming an Endo was managing your Hashimoto's.

my thyroid meds were adjusted over the course of more than a year to where I finally had a "normal" range reading.  i am taking 125mg of synthroid every evening.  this is the only treatment i have received for the hashimotos disease because i moved.

This may be your Hashimoto's causing this too especially if you stopped the ADHD med and this hasn't gone away.  I wouldn't rule out that it has nothing to do with this.  Is your Hashimoto's being managed well?

my dr has tried to help but its a long process.  i recently started meds for ADHD and thot maybe this was what was causing the tingling.  the dr got me to stop taking the meds for a week, there was no change to my numbness tho.  my dr is supposed to refer me to a neurologist but warned me that it would be awhile.  i am anemic and have hashimotos disease.  unrelated tho, i think.  i hope its a nerve thing but am bothered by it.  thanks

Sounds like a Nerve issue.

What has this physician been doing to correct your problems?  You should probably be referred to a Neurologist if your regular physician can't resolve this.
