fingure tremor

my son 28 yrs.Noticed tremor since the age of 10.Taken to several doctors/nurologists.Their opinion was it is not serious.They told me that it would reduce as he grows up.But the tremor is still there.It is noticeable.Could you advice.

Thank you.No I donot remember any of my close family member has this as far as i know.Is it alarming

Hello.

These should be Essential Tremors. ET is known to occur without any apparent cause. ET is also known to be a familial disease. Do you recall anyone of your family having similar symptoms?

Essential tremors are typically around 8 Hz. Which means the tremor frequency is 8 movements per second. You can not measure it very easily.

Essential tremors are benefited by anti anxiety drugs.
