I would suggest weaning. Weaning quickly is fine. It's not like anti depressants at all; however, it still involves chemically manipulating the brain, and any time that happens you should kind of prepare yourself for the letdown, versus just cutting such a strong drug. I took Neurontin (same thing) and I quickly got weaned off it, but the Tegretol took forever to come off of. So considering the class of drugs, I would still slowly decrease, it also depends on your dose, on how high it is?
