Getting another opinion is definitely the way to go, if you current Doctor isn't willing to address your concerns, you have to move on to one that'll help you.

I have fusion at C3-C7 and a rod as for the abnormal emg they don't know or they give me the answer of it could be this or itcould be that and I say give me an answer to what's wrong with me if it can be fixed do it if not let me know still no answer right know I am working on a second opinion I pray and hope someone can help I thank both of you for responding back to me if either you have more input on my situation please respond back and thank you both
Hi, Thank you for your question. Your symptoms could be suggestive of either some nerve injury or a pressure on the nerve after the fusion surgery that might have affected your EMG results. Another possibility in your case could be damaged the soft-tissues such as muscles or underlying skin. However, it is essential to clarify that nerve injury does not necessarily mean complete injury to the nerve and it may be either edema or some type of compression of nerve by a blood clot or scar formation. I would recommend you to see a neurologist who can evaluate the details of your case and could better determine the insight of your situation. Hope this helps.
Did you write 5 titanium cages, how many levels did you have done? Have you fused yet, what does Surgeon say about this abnormal EMG, have you had an post-op MRI?
