Hi, most Drs will may meds like Diamox to help reduce the excess fluid resulting in less pressure...if that does not work, they may have to resort to surgery and placement of a shunt, a tube that is inserted to help divert the fluid to another area where it can be absorbed.
IIH usually does not have a reason for it, sometimes it can be weight, so if u r overweight, u may want to try to lose some to see if that also helps....but weight is not always the culprit....some thin people have this issue as well....
I pray u find a resolution as the HA's and pain are not easy to deal with
