leg pain

For over 8 years I have had  lower back and leg pain, my thighs on the outside upper thigh on both legs have been numb for about 3-4 years, which is strange.  About 8-9 months ago I started being awaken from a sleep with severe left pain in this area. My neuro has put me on nuerotin, but the pain has gotten worse, I also think I should say that I had an SI fusion and an l5s1 fusion as well.  Could my old friend Si be the problem or is this something totally new, and what do I do next????

since before this problem I ave been to see every doc from Mayo who said they could do nothing else to Barnes who said the only thing they could do was to make sure the pain was controlled (morphine) it worked but I could not function, from Carle in urbana to the Millinium pain center in bloomington, il. who wanted a spinal cord stimulator.  56 shots in my back and all they did was make the pain worse.  I have been walking in a pool, and that is when this started again.  And I am allergic to vitamins, now what??????

Hello Dear,
Have you gone for a MRI investigation? What are the findings? You should consult a physical therapist for pain management.Back extension exercises and yoga will help you.You can take vitamin B complex supplementation which would prevent demyleination of nerves.Regular physiotherapy should be done as medicines do not give much relief in such cases.
