loss of voice and weak leg muscles

over the last several months, I have started to drag my feet ( weak muscles) and at the same time my voice changes : when I speak, it become more nasal and I can't continue.
many visits to ENT and stomach doctors where they suspected acid reflux problem.
In a recent visit to a bone Doctor he suggested seeing a Neurologist. tests are being done to find out what causes the muscle weakness. no firm conclusions yet.  they recommended to take B12 as soon as possible, while they continue the tests.
question: what possibly causes BOTH  voice and weak muscles ?
what suggested tests are recommended to find the cause?

Hello.

When both are affected, one thinks of some problem higher up in the brain. Probability of a disturbed blood supply to the nerve cells controlling these two areas is high. An MRI, or an MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography) will give some insights into the problem.
