i have been with migraine for mor than 20 year last year i stop working beccuse this pain make me stay at home AND I CANTR FIND ANY MEDICATION THAT STOP IT

Thank you very much for your question. I am happy to address the issues that you pose, although it is important that you recognize that my impression is based entirely on the information you have provided in your posting and is by no means a replacement for an office visit with a neurologist.  Diagnosis is contingent on detailed history and physical exam and as such, the following information should be considered solely for educational purposes.

Unfortunately, you have not offered me very much information regarding your headache symptoms but it sounds like you have been living with a lot of discomfort for quite a bit of time without relief.  There is really no single "best drug" form migraines and when selecting a drug for headache treatment, neurologists take many things into consideration including headache quality, previous medications tried, other health problems, etc.  Some of the more common drugs used to treat migraine include those within the following classes: triptans, calcium channel blockers, anticonvulsive meds (i.e. topirimate, valproate), and antidepressents.  I would recommend that you make an appointment to see either a general neurologist or a neurologist who specializes in headache who can best address your individual concerns.  Thanks so much for your post and I wish you the best of luck!

Im in the same boat - Imitrex and the other popular one (starts with an R..Relpax??) made my heart race and didnt alleviate the headache like MAXALT - ohh, I LOVE this medicine! I pop one right under the tongue as soon as my "spots" start, and about 20 minutes later, I can feel the headache breaking up a bit.

Hang in there;
But don't totally rely on your MD.  Read & Learn about natural and home therapies. There are hundreds and regular Doctors will never teach them to you. Are you kidding? We [the sick] are their bread & butter. Think about it ! If you sold candles for a living,would you teach anyone how to make their own. [even though it is wayeasier than they would think]
                      I would suggest to start out with something Doctors never take into consideration. Your envirement . Do some searches on
Candida , Mold , Enviremental Sensitivities. These are but a few, but you will be very suprised at what you learn.
