molded marijuana crossing the blood/brain barrier?

I have been on a fruitless search to find out why I've had this dull constant headache and inability to focus mentally, as well as the feeling that i can't take a full breath (sort of like air hunger).     I have the the usual neurological workup with blood tests and MRI's,  PFT's, and a chest xray.    I have since quit smoking pot but I think that I had a moldy batch (unsure, but possible) that lasted me for several months because it had a strange white fuzz on it.   I am now totally free of all drugs including pot for good, but I'm wondering if this mold could have had a toxic effect on me somehow?   I am not immunocompromised in anyway that i know of... it's been 6 months since my symptoms started and I quit smoking cigarettes and pot at the same time.  yet my symptoms persist.  If my lungs are normal, PFT normal, MRI normal, can this is aflatoxic or someting along those lines?    thank you.

Its not clear when you stopped the drugs but the symptoms could still be due to drug withdrawal, or from continueing effects of the drugs. There may be some persistent cognitive changes which could be picked up by formal neuropsychological evaluation. Hopefully these will improve as you stay off drugs.

Inhaling mold could conceivable cause a chronic pulmonary infection, but this is best evaluated by a pulmonary physician and is unlikley in the absence of pulmonary symptoms (cough etc), and pulmonary tests.

Aflatoxins are produced by fungi and are usuallu associaetd with liver disease.

I would suggest a headache neurology opinion for your headache and a neuropsych eval for the cognitive complaints.

Good luck
