multiple problems

I have been all over to many different doctors and have still had no luck in finding out what is wrong with me.  For about a month I have been having problems.  It started out with bladder problems.  Frquency of urination that turned into a weak stream, and one night I became in bad pain it felt like my bladder area was going to explode.  It was alot of pressure.  I went to the ER, he thought my bladder was inflamed.  I had also started to do a bunch of exercises, pushups, situps, running in place, jumping jacks.  I am also overweight.  I am 22 yrs old male 5' 10" 236 pounds when this started, but I have dropped 20 pounds since.  Soon after this I came under some bad back pain at the top of my butt.  Also my I started having bad bouts with severe bladder pain.  My back problems got worse and worse to where I could barely situp, and at one point I could not sit up at all.  I had been prescribed phenazopadrine at first for my bladder, then my primary care gave me hyoscyamine, and a local urologist then put me on utira c tablets.  I stopped the others and kept on the Utira C.  I have had a CT scan of my abdomen about a week after this problem started and an ultrasound of my bladder.  About three weeks in I had two episodes of incontinence where I went to urinate, thought I was done and looked down to see I had wet my pants.  That happened twice in one day.  The next night I had severe incontinence and went to the ER.  I had a lumbar and lumbar sacral MRI.  Everything was clear.  I also went to Vanderbilt where everything cleared up.  My blood work and urine sample was perfect they said.  They thought the back pain was all muscular skeletal, but were not sure about the bladder incontinence.  After I went to vander bilt I stopped taking the utira C and did not have anymore large losses of bladder control.  My pain has improved somewhat but certain things still make me hurt.  When I sit directly on my butt on a frim surface I have a pain right around my anus kind of.  Also whenever I go around turns in my car I have a sharp pain at the top of my butt, and other movements have also put me in that pain.  One of my mom's friends came over and tried to stretch out my back.  She had me lay flat and bend one knee that she bent towards my chest, at one point she put me in excruciating pain and stopped, I had the same pain a while back when I was worse off when I sat down on a couch and leaned back.  I am going to see my primary care doctor tomorrow for a follow up.  I have had a few minor incontinence problems since the major ones.  From what I have read on the internet alot of my symptoms seem related to the tailbone.  But I was told that the tailbone was imaged in the lumbar sacral MRI and was clean.  Also it seems as though the incontinence may happen when I am in more pain, and it is always after I urinate and think I am done.  And also it seems as though I have to urinate more often when I am laying on my side.  Any ideas or help please?

i have had a neuologist tell me i have babinski sign, hyperreflexia and swallowing difficulty has been going on for about 3 years now and is getting worse with muscle atrophy and alot of weakness and pain.he has mentioned an upper motor neuron disorder, does this sound to anyone like that could be what is causing my problem?i have had a clear mri of brain and mri of back,i have herniated disc in neck but surgeon said that it was not causing it.meanwhile during this 3 years i have had acid reflux surgery from my muscle in my esophagus messing up,and colon surgery from coughing from the swallowing problem and from constipation and had 18 inches of large intestines cut out and my gallbladder went out.neurologist did an emg and nerve velocity test and said i do have nerve damage, and is going to do a 2 hour emg test to see if things have changed and it would show more signs of upper motor neuron disease.if anyone knows anything about als and mnd please let me know.thanks, misscoughingsilly

I would think an MRI of the brain and c spine would be good to check and make sure the problem isn't coming from your central nervous system.

Well I never had a kidney stone, the urologist said there were some crystals in my urine and thought there was the formation of a kidneystone causing the pain and frequency.  I never passed a stone, and have recently got off the diet because it was a bs diagnosis I think.

I was just asking because I had a kidney stone last May and the way you describe your lower back pain, and into the butt sounds all too familiar in that respect....I also had the inflammation in the bladder....
It sounds like you have had a tremendous amount of tests with no answers....That must be very frustrating for you....

Maybe the doctors on here may have another suggestion, or someone else that's going through this....Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Take care,
T.

I read your post and apologize if I missed something, but did they bother to look at your kidneys?
