muscle lose and loose joints or ligament

I started having muscle lose about six months ago. Arms and legs, especially the upper legs in the back. Very weak in the legs in the upper part. I have regained a little on the arms and calves but the legs have not and now I have very loose joints or ligament. That started about three weeks ago and now with the legs I'm having lots of trouble. Quickly, I had a fusion in neck 3 years ago and it did not take completely but last mri shows no change so Dr said leave it alone for now. BUT now the muscle and joints problem. I did have hormone test that showed testosterone to be very low and will start something I THINK soon but Dr does not think it is the reason. DOES any one have any ideas ? My Dr has just hit a wall. (Admits he knows very little about hormones)
NEED HELP SOON!!

Thank you for your reply. Although I did see a Dr today and they believe it is hormones. They feel the joints and ligaments are not really lose but feel that way because of weak muscles. This Dr is a muscle specialist. They also feel that from their experience that YES the muscle mass lose is very likely hormones. And suggest i see a specialist ASAP. They have seen cases where estrogen levels block the testosterone and then very weak muscles occur and mass is defiantly lost.
Thank you so much for your help. If you have any other ideas I would like your opinion ?

Hi there. Your doctor is right in saying that low testosterione levels could cause fatigue, low sexual drive, etc but not loose joints and ligaments and muscle loss. you need to consult a neurologist if you havenot already to investigate a myopathy  cause. Serum vitamin D and calcium levels are required to rule out osteomalacia. An endocrinologist consult is also required to check various hormones levels if they are causing these musculoskeletal symptoms. Take care.
