I have been having some very weird symptoms for the last two years.
It started out with muscle spasms. I get spasms that are very random and in different places all over my body. Sometimes it is a facial spasm, other times it will be in my bicep, then later in my leg. These have been happening for about 2 years. They usually last for just a few seconds, sometimes a little longer.
Secondly, I began having problems with my hands falling asleep at night. Not just the normal type of falling asleep because you are laying on them, but major falling asleep. Often times they would both fall asleep at the same time which was weird. Sometimes it would be my thumb and top part of the hand, other times it would be my pinkie and bottom of the hand, and sometimes my whole hand. This has recently gotten better.
Third, I have this "shakiness" that I can't explain. When I lift weights and put my muscles under a strain, they will shake. I have never done this before. Also, after I work out, I will be very shaky for the rest of the day. Sometimes when I hold my thumb in a certain position is will move back and forth slightly. Other times I can’t make it do that. When I set up in bed, like the sit up position, I start shaking. It’s like my muscles don’t like being in the “in between position.” This is weird, but if I scrunch up my face to make a “yuck” expression my lips and muscles around my nose and mouth quiver back and forth. If I touch my chin to my shoulder then the muscles in my upper chest and lower neck will spasm. If I bend down on one knee to tie my shoe my chest muscles will spasm. It all seems to be getting worse.
Finally, I have been shaking internally at night when I try to fall asleep. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like I am leaning up against a generator or something. It is coming from my upper chest region, and it usually starts as soon as I am about to fall asleep. It can last anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or more. It sometimes comes back during the middle of the night. I don’t know if it is visible to others but I don’t think it is. It is coming from the inside. Sometimes it is worse than others. Also, when I lay on my side it makes my shoulder and arm muscles quiver sometimes. The symptoms are worse when I am keyed up or under stress or if I have had a few beers. I have really got my stress under control and stopped drinking but it is still happening. It will happen for 5 or 6 nights in a row and then stop for up to a week and then start again. It is just getting progressively worse.
I have had and MRI that came back normal. I also had a nerve conduction test that was normal. I have had blood work and hair analysis done that showed some heavy metals and stuff like that but nothing major. My doctors are clueless. I am a 34 year old male in good shape. I work out regularly and eat healthy. I have never had any major health problems. I do have migraines, and have occasionally experienced numbness in my face and hand during a migraine. A few months ago three or four fingers on my left hand and the left part of my face went numb for about five minutes for no reason. It really freaked me out. I take a 5 ml of testosterone cream every morning that is supposed to help with migraines. These symptoms started before I started taking the testosterone. Besides that I only take vitamins, nothing out of the ordinary. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
