nerve

3 times now about a month apart, my right index finger numb, hard, and was turning pale.  I could see the difference in color.  It looked like it was dead

I have a similar problem as Saralyn370.  My thumb got very hard after doing floral design.  I was treated for cellulitis with doxycycline. After a few days, the thumb started softening and feeling much more normal again.  It started to feel a little worse while I was still on the doxycycline but was sidelined with a head cold.  After resting from the headcold for a couple of days, that's when the thumb seemed worse and I woke up with terrible ringing in the ears.  The ringing in the ears is normal for me after resting for a long time- -The more I sleep, the more I grind my teeth, and I have always attributed the ringing in the ears to the constriction of blood vessels in the head.  Could the worsening of the thumb also be related?  How could that relate to the cellulitis/bacterial infection?  Do you think that I do/did really have a bacterial infection in my hand, or is this all to do with the lack of circulation problem, or perhaps both?  I also have white powdery areas between the fingers and on my affected hand.

Thanks so much,
Claire in Atlanta

Hello.

Can you note any correlation of your ear ringing symptoms and the thumb symptoms? Have they both started together?

This seems to be a blood circulation problem with the thumb. Was it observed when there was excess of cold weather?

Regards
