sensitive skin

I have a very sensitive skin on my back, it's a bit uncomfortable to touch, covers all back area. I just had a 3 day cold/flu and it started right after, so I don't know if it's related or not.
Is this can be a start of shingles?
How long I should wait until I see a doctor and do I go straight to neurologist?
What can cause something like that?
Thank you and appreciate the answers
