small fiber neuropathy

I also have been diagonsed with small fiber neuropathy! I would like to know what kind of medications can help or anyother suggestions to help me to live with this disorder. I have had it for 5 years now. It does not get easier to live with no matter how  I try it is always on my mind. Some one told me once to get used to and learn to live with it. That is not an option in my opinon. I feel some days that I can't deal with it anymore, you know you can't run away from yourself but I wish that I could.

I have severe small nerve neuropathy.  I have had it going on 7 years now...I have extreme pain in both feet..pin prickling, sharp jabbing pains, tightness, just to name a few!  I take 2400 mg of neurotin a day, 50 mg of Tramadol 3X day, Cymbalta for mental nerves, lol, and hydrocodone as needed.My new doctor just prescribed a compound of meds in a lotion for me..it has ketamine, abstention, ketoprofen, and amitriptyline mixed up into a lotion I put on my feet twice a day, and it seems to be holding down the worst of the pain.  My oral meds help, but just barely take the edge off.

...sorry I don't know that condition....I see u posted in the expert forum also....I am sure the drs can answer ur questions.There may be someone else with the same condition who may answer ur post....in the meantime if u explain to me what is going on ...I can listen and offer support.
