stiff neck,,can this cause lightheadedness/dizzy feelings?

today  woke up with a stiff neck,,,by bed is kinda getting old and i didnt sleep well,,,,shortly after waking up i noticed i felt kinda lightheaded when turning my neck side to side,or expecialy when bending over at the neck.
looking straight ahaid i dont feel it much,but when i turn the head i do,,,i also have a bit of a headache,,not much,but i took a few tylanol for it,,,feels somewhat better.
i have had this lightheadedness before,but it went away for some time.,..now today its back with a vengeance!!
i might mention i have had a ct scan on my head to look for lesions or anything that would explain my lightheadedness i get sometimes,,,but i realy notice it today,and my neck is still today,,,kinda been a little sore for a few days now.
please let me know what you think,,,,i worry so much about this kind of stuff...

thnx,,ya i took some otc meds for the sore neck,and shortly after my lightheaded ness more less subsided.

Hi,

It is important to rule out problems with the cervical spine like cervical spondylosis, disc prolapse and disc herniation by thorough clinical exam.
These symptoms can also simply be due to overstretching of neck and neck sprain due to bad posture while lying down.
Please make sure you maintain a good posture while sitting and lying down to prevent neck strain.
Neck massage, heat and ice therapy, rest and OTC pain killers will help.
