I FOUND A SUPPLEMENT THAT IS ENORMOUSLY
HELPING MY CHIARI I, 5 MM NO SYRINX (NO SURGERIES).
IT IS CALLED ASTAXANTHIN. TAKE WITH A MEAL THAT
HAS FAT IN IT. I HAPPENED TO HAVE GREEN TEA WITH
JASMINE IN IT AFTERWARD WHICH ENHANCED THE EFFECTIVENESS.
IT TOOK TWO DAYS TO WORK INCREDIBLY.
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT STOPPING THE PROGRESSION BUT THE
ABILITY TO FUNCTION AT A HIGH LEVEL IS WONDERFUL. I
JUST STARTED TAKING. GOOGLE; LEF ON ASTAXANTHIN FOR
MORE INFORMATION.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON. IT TOOK ME YEARS TO FIND.
SINCERELY,
MAUREEN
WACMA's symptom alleviation list! It's been a life saver. The advice on shoes alone has been wonderful. I hope it's ok to post links..

Dear Selma,
Of course, kind Selma, I am glad to share.
I wrote to you a month ago about the Cell Food...........that is helping.
But much more importantly .........when it comes to something as
horrific as Chiara, there is only one answer Christ. Keep looking
up, keep seeking him...................................
Beyond Him and its hard to get beyond Him, a lifestyle that encourages
health, no meds, exercise, lots of rest, good food, no gluten/dairy,
giving back to others when you are physically able. Keeping life
simple.
Love, Maureen

Hi Maureen and jmc27.
I know chiari decompression surgery is very scary, but if ur chiari is progressing it can cause perm damage if it has progressed to parayllasis(sp)
Most important is to see a chiari specialist...not just a NS that does chiari surgeries.U need a dr that devotes his practice to all the methods, treatments and proceedures that r up todate.
I know Maureen u have asked this question in the chiari forum...not sure of ne answer u were given...it is diff to know what symptoms u have and if u have a CSF blockage....then u will need to see a specialist...no one can say do this or that and hope it'll go away...there is no cure for chiari...only treatments and only an expert can tell u if u r at a point that requires surgery. I understand surgery is always a last resort.
I invite u both to pop into the chiari forum and post ur questions there....maybe we can help u find a dr....u may need to travel, but u need a chiari dr.
Good luck
Godspeed
