My wife has very similar symptoms. Did you ever figure out what was causing your symptoms? Thanks
Something very similar happened to me a week ago. I began to feel light headed and faint then legs felt heavy as collapsed. On the way to hospital everything slowed down in my mind and speech. I still have slurred, slow, jerky speech and twitching in my upper back when i walk. MRI, CT, blood tests, EEG all clear to rule out stroke or tumour or lesions. I was released with the neurologists saying it'll just go away in a few weeks. Even suggested psych review which again cleared me for any psychological issues. They said they have no explanation but are so confident it will go away. It's very frustrating..... :(
I forgot to mention tremors. Timeline 1st "event" was the "earthquake" feeling and sensation in the back of my head, weeks later the extremely slow and slurred speech etc. Currently: pins and needles, left side weakness, feeling slightly drunk, tremors, eyes want to fix in a daze, mental/phys fatigue, please see previous post. They were so sure of a stroke at first that they did MRI's, MRA, CT scan, chest x-ray, and a lot of blood work. The speech therapist said that it seemed like there were two parts of my brain affected- one was higher and the other lower. My speech is no longer slow. I only have to work on not halting when I am explaining something. Automatic responses are fine. Could it be basilar or complicated migraine even though there are lingering fluxuating symptoms?
