voice loss with MS

Yesterday for the very first time I felt a very strange burning in my neck and upper chest. Then my voice became extremely hoarse and it took much effort to speak. This lasted for about two hours and then the symptoms left. Should I now be concerned that  I may now beginning to experiencing some voice loss symtoms>

I am familiar with GERD  I considered that first  but the sensation was so weird and seemed to come from out of no where.  This happend around 3:30 pm after a 12 noon lunch; there was no shortness of breath - just the  extreme burning sensation and then the  immediate uncharacterisitc hoarsness/laryngitis for about two hours; it took much effort to talk and throat clearing did not help.  I've  had heart burn before but never to this degree.

Burning sensation in the neck and upper chest raises the suspicion of gastric reflux or GERD. The regurgitation of acid in the oesophagus and throat can cause burning pain in upper chest and neck and hoarse voice.
Plaese make sure you eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and eat your dinner 2 hrs before bedtime. A mild OTC antacid before meals will also help you.
At the same time pain due to heart attack should also be excluded. Do you have any shortness of breath?
