worried and waiting seizures numbness exhaustion

abt. the 3rd of jan I had a series of very severe and violent headaches along with them were seizure type
episodes electric shocks throughout my body along with some vision changes and to top it off I had sudden
hbp spikes 209/133 and varied was put on hbp meds. things got so bad I went to the hospital and they done
a ct scan and said they were going to treat me for migraines which I suffered with for a long time and I told them I was worried about the weakness and numbness and they seizure type episodes I could hardly hold myself up and if felt like a chore to walk upright.that was a little while ago and my bp went back to it's normal but I still
have the episodes and the numbness and it feels like I have bugs walking all over my head.I have noticed a slight change in my facial area.It comes in waves and varies but it scares me,2 aunts a grandmother and a ggrandmother
and grandfather all died of massive strokes dad with a quad bypass and mom with heart attack at 44 with pva
pad I have never felt this ill for this long in all my life.

Hi ,
I just wanted to touch base with you,I have seemed to be gradually returning to normal,
been on Cipro and not currently taking the Topamax pending a vision appt. Had alot of pressure in my chest this morning and still unacceptable stomach and intestinal issues.
blisters still popping up on hands.I have retraced my steps back and noticed that there
was a couple of drs. a hematologist and a GI that thought I may have Porphyria and if that is what has been happening then this was probably the worst spell I have had so far.
I'll be taking the med. rec. to my current phys. and see what they think and if I can get to the bottom of this crazy stuff. It's been very aggravating to deal with but I keep hoping for a
clear reason for all of this.I hope you have a beautiful Valentines Day.

good morning ,
iwanted to touch base with you, went to docs and between my home and dr. my bp
has returned to a normal range....cholesteral was bad.having small shocks and
eyes are still doing funny things. My appearance is much better but still very fatigued
Started taking vit.d and fish oil in hopes that it will impove my general weak and tired
feelings.and raise and lower my chol. readings.I had a pretty strong dizzy spell
with the feeling like I was going to faint but I didn't, just startled me pretty good but
I wasn't doing anything so I was happy abt. that.It does drive me up a wall that I don't
have any answers for it and I had been told I was just getting older but I do not know anyone who has had similar problems in response to getting older and I am frustrated
that some do not seem to get my anxiety abt. these spells,I get these things even
when a migraine doesn't seem to be there.I am taking something for my anxiety
but it doesn't affect the symptoms....Anyway I seem to feel better mentally to get
this out there, last bp reading was 110/72.

Thank you for responding and Hi,I have noticed changes on my right side, weakness
more pain than I had especially when the numb areas aren't so pronounced,Definite
eye changes vision loss to some extent, have an appoitntment with eye specialist
I have never had problems with hbp with the exception of being in pain so the
sudden onset was surprising especially to that degree.I feel ill and my appetite
has shifted and at some points I can barely stand the thought of food.Earache
on the right side for a while which the doc could see no reason for but def. a source of aggravation.Never lost consciousness for more than a couple of seconds but
a couple of years ago something like this happen but not so severe that the after
effects were still with me.There wasn't anything they could confirm tia vs. stroke
unusual vascular structure in the brain with a artery or vein that was missing
I have having unusual pain on the right side and the right hip.Seems to wrap around
the side and spreads. All this I am mentioning because I have not felt any pain
in those areas to that extent.Thank You again take care

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. These headaches and possible seizures could be attributed to the uncontrolled severe hypertension you had along with these symptoms. This could be the cause of facial numbness and visual symptoms. How are you now? Is there a history of loss of consciousness and hemiparesis or weakness in one half of the body. You need to treat this hypertension under the supervision of a physician. Consult an ophthalmologist for assessing the retinal and optic disc changes too. All the end organs should be checked for any effects of undiagnosed, uncontrolled hypertension like kidney, heart and brain. With a positive family history of strokes, you need to be vigilant.  Take care.
