Spina Bifida

I have spina bifida and it is the "open" kind. I am not sure which one of the two under open spina bifida it is. I was born with a huge sac and couldnt crawl or hold my head up untill after my surgery when I was 2. I have had a couple surgerys my last being in 2006 for a teathered spinal cord. I am In sooo much pain I cant even stand the whole time to do my dishes. I have kids and a hubby. Ok so my dr (general) said that I cant work, I cant have pain meds and no disability. He says Im to young for the meds and disability. I have been on pain meds since i was 12. I cant deal with the pain I have things to do. Could you please tell me why he would take me off the meds and leave me in pain unable to work with no income? Its horrible I wash a load of dishes (cups, forks spoons) and I have to stop and go lay down for hours. Any advice would help me out a lot!!

Sorry for the late answer
first of all I think that your doctor noticed that you became too much dependant to medications with no or minimal results, so he decides to stop them. secondly let me propose you an antidepressant medication for your pain.. ! yes for your pain knowing that you dont have depression but many similar cases respond well to that type of medications.
Now which one is the best.. maybe also we should find a nonexpenses one. Names are like (brand name) Duloxetine 30 then 60 mg later on or Tryptizol 25mg
Also I propose a kind of sport or back and abdominal muscle conditioning.
Please rewrite what is your decision

I do take antidepressants for my depression and PTS. I take Duloxetine 2xd. I am on muscle relaxers as well. I went to my neurologist and he said that he thinks my spinal cord is tethered again and that I have to have a leg nerve test done. I have no clue what that is. He said it has to do with glue and needles. Thank you so much for responding!
