I'm watching The Pacific. I can't help but notice the similarities between the Japanese, Nazi Germany and prewar America and now. We want to believe that Muslims are peaceful. We're told they want to be friends. But does anyone remember the Friendship medals the Japanese presented to America just before they bombed Pearl Harbor? Anyone remember the German Bunds flourishing in prewar America? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_American_Bund Does anyone remember how many Japanese posing as tourists or even residents were actually spies?
Nazis were fanatical. Chamberlain tried to appease them. Fanatics see appeasement as weakness. They would risk it all in their quest to impose their fanatical beliefs on the world. Had it been left to the appeasers and "peace makers" of the world, they would have succeeded. And they hated Jews. Killed over 6 million of them. Did you know that the roots of Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath party lie in Nazi Germany. That there were many Muslims from the Mideast who fought for Germany. And it's generally believed that many Nazis were harbored for years in Muslim Mideast countries. Are they really gone?
Shinto, the Japanese religion of Emperor worship, also made fanatical fighters. Suicide attacks, Kamakaze attacks, no fear of dying. To die for the Emperor was their dearest wish. Never surrender. Sound familiar?
Sorry folks, but I see a lot of danger ahead. Appeasing Islamic fanatics is very dangerous. There is some evidence that this Mosque they want to build is being funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Saudi Arabia funds many western Mosques. Do your homework. I've done mine. If we allow this mosque to go forward 600 feet from the very spot of one of their greatest victories over the west, we are appeasing. We're asking for it. Another World War with 21st century weapons. Stop it now while we still can.
