I first saw these drinks years ago in Thailand. As their bad effects began to show up there, they started phasing them out.
It wasn't until after they stopped selling them in huge quantities there, that I saw them being advertised here.
With global marketing, as a product is phased out in one country due to it's bad effects, it shows up elsewhere.
I have a friend that drinks Jagermiester and Red Bull. Apparently it accomplishes the mission because he’ll drink 2 and within 30 minutes he digresses from normal to an Annoying, Sloppy A$$ Drunk. The guy is in his mid 50s, I don’t get it.
Some of them do taste nasty, but the monster coffee drinks are good, but a little on the sweet side. I luv my monster coffee! LOL. 5 hour energy isnt bad either! But in moderation! LOL
They are so full of garbage that I came to my senses and started using steroids instead... (Just kidding) .
LOL
I've never even tried an energy drink, I have heard many people say they taste nasty!
I love the Monster coffee drinks. But the key to using them I think is to not drink them like you would a glass of water on a very hot day. They get me thru the day sometimes when I otherwise couldn't do it alone.
I love Red Bull.... Used to slam one before going to the gym. They are so full of garbage that I came to my senses and started using steroids instead... (Just kidding)
It's coffee for me. Cannot stand the taste/after-taste of energy-drinks.
Kids these days...
I actually cannot stand the taste of those energy drinks. I've tried a few and don't like them at all. I too will stick to my morning cup or two and leave it at that. It's decaffinated tea for me after that!
Like most stuff, in moderation, they are okay. It's the people who are abusing it, and taking it to excess where the problem lies. Taken in excess, they can cause some danerous health concerns, including heart arrythmias. One of the bigger thing seen is panic attacks.
I've also read (and heard from people who drink them a lot)...that there is actually a withdrawal associated with them if someone uses them regularly, then abruptly stops.
I'll stick to my 2 cups of joe, tyvm!
