Can not gain weight.

First off, I'm a 19 year old male i stand 5'8 and my weight ranges anywhere between 100-120 lbs. my weight hasent changed much since i was 5'1 my doctor keep's telling me it's how i'm growing but i've noticed i havent been able to get over 125 lbs in 2 year's my skin is turning yellow which is common with people who suffer from anorexia.
I eat alot but i can go 3-5 day's without food or water and i'll feel exactly as i normally do. i've tried digesting over 5k calories a day for 3 week's and wasent able to put on more then 5 lbs with any luck and as soon as i don't eat for 1 day I'll drop it all. i try working out  but get no result's. food seem's to go thru me at an alarming rate and i just can't take being the size of most 13 year old girl's in my town.
any tip's on what i can do would be great or a list of food's or medication's that can slow down my metabolism.

the worst my weight has been after being depressed was 80 lbs and being 5'8 my eye's were even sunk back into my skull. it doesent feel good to be this thin.

Hi, I share a similar problem with you. I'm 18 and underweight, about 120lbs as well. Some key things to remember are that it takes TIME to gain weight, and persistence. Keep consuming more calories than you expend, work out (lift weights as opposed to aerobic exercises) to stimulate muscle growth. A protein supplement may be a good idea, I use ON whey protein. Remember that alcohol hinders the liver from absorbing protein and other nutrients, and that smoking is an appetite suppressant. Beyond this, if you have a very fast metabolism, you can get that checked out & take something to counter that. You may also be a natural ectomorph.

my bother has a similar issue. if he skips even 1 meal (of 5) a day he loses at east 2 pounds if not 5.  to be perfectly honest im a bit jealous;). BUT he swears by the muscle milk calorie shakes and lifts weights everyday or so. its definitely inceased his weight and has helped build a lot of muscle. they come in a variety of flavors and my brorther usually adds some fresh fruit and milk to it to make it taste a little better.  theyre all available at GNC in the weight lifting supplements section aaaaand they pack realtively well in a thermos.  heads up though: it makes him break out a bit...but that could also be cause hes dirty. goooood luck!

I agree with kittyyy and her brother. Muscle Milk is a great product. I usually pick up @ GNC. It's the only way I can maintain a decent weight. 2 a day (made with whole milk or water with fresh fruit or p-nut butter in the blender). Plus, be sure to eat your traditional 3 meals per day. Tastes Great. Oh, and my Drs. loved the idea.
