My family loves black rice. Has a great nutty flavor. If u have any leftovers go great in salads too.
If you like rice you might want to try quineoa. It has vitamins where as white rice has almost no nutritional value. It's very filling and you can most anything to it. I like it with parsley, mushrooms, spinach, a little garlic and olive oil.
Brown rice is great for you. White rice is empty calories, though it hasn't seemed to have adversely affected Asians all that much to eat it three times a day. But try brown rice, you can vary it -- short grain is a bit starchy, medium grain is, well, medium, and long grain separates better. There are many forms of rice that vary in taste, and as long as it's the whole brown rice it's one of the best balanced foods on the planet.
