I agree, I am not a huge fan of water so I always cut up cucumbers and put them in my water bottle. It tastes 100 times better and helps me drink more water! You could also try lemons, strawberries, or cinnamon. Hope that helps!
Try diet root beer, zevia is a diet root beer that uses stevia instead of splenda if you're against consuming food products with splenda. Also, if u get root beer from restaurants with soda fountains, they often have a tab for carbonated water. So you could try to dilute the soda with some carbonated water. Hope this helps you a bit
I had the same problem with Coke. It became all I ever drank. I quit cold turkey. I felt SO much better! I used unsweetened iced tea as my substitute and found that feeling better helped me eat better. I'm not a coffee drinker but bought a Keurig to make unsweetened iced tea whenever I wanted it. Whatever you do, don't switch to diet soda! Soooo bad for you!
I would say be just as careful with moderation with juice as you would root beer -- a lot of sugar unless you're juicing vegetables. Vitamin water has a lot of things in it you don't need either, and milk isn't digestible for most humans. Green tea is great. Herbal teas can be good. There's a lot to drink out there, but I still think many people don't like to drink water because they're drinking lousy tasting water.
I would say if your not trying to lose much I would put a can of root beer in your diet like one or maybe 2 a week. But water is really good for you, you should drink as much water you can. I know some drinks that would be good milk, real juice, and try vitamin water 0.
First, root beer isn't the worst thing as long as you drink it in moderation. While colas and many other sodas rot out the plaque in your teeth and contain caffeine, root beer doesn't, so it's mainly a sugar problem or artificial additive problem. And there's a thing about water -- if you buy genuine spring water you'll be amazed how well it tastes, and sparkling spring water will give you that fresh taste you can't get from the tap with natural carbonation. It might just be you don't like the taste of tap water -- I sure don't, I have spring water delivered and it tastes delicious.
Root beer! Mmmmm....my favorite.
