Well, a good start would be to get an overall health evaluation by a physician before starting any diet plan.  As for dieting, for a start you should cut out much of the processed carbs that you eat (ie. white breads, sugars, ect).  If you love bread like I do, switch to eating a healthier bread like ezekiel or at least whole grain/wheat.  Increase your fiber intake as well.  A brief cardio exercise before eating breakfast is a sure way to burn fat off of your body.  If you begin a weekly Gym routine now, you will definitely achieve the results you are looking for before the big day.  Doing cardio at least 3-5 times a week for 20-45 minutes at a time will be a sure way to achieve the desired results.  Its all about being well disciplined in what you eat and you exercise programs.  Check out this site, bodybuilding.com for exercise tips.  There is a section in there for women, so check it out.

live4fitness, another poster in here, has a lot of great tips to lose weight too.  Im sure she'll be able to give you some great advice.

Good luck to you on your big day!

thanks ryn,

I would recommend googling BMR and TDEE. This will tell you how many calories a day to eat to MAINTAIN,then decrease no more than 750 calories a day. Eat 6 small meals a day with protien at each. Cut out complex carbs (potates, rice) after 4th meal then put in fiberous carbs in ( broccoli, salad) cut out fruit after 3 meal decrease calories as the day goes on.

weight train at least 3 days a week and cardio 5-6 days a week. I also recommend HIIT (high intensity interval training) google this as well. It will cut your cardio time down. If you have any more question I and the others here will be glad to help.

I hope this is helpful. ( I have lost 60 pounds doing this)

Good luck
