Too heavy

Hi doc, I would be interested to find out weather I'm too heavy and why. The problems is that a friend of mine who is also a female, exactly the same hight and looking very similar to me (long hair, smaller bust) except that when you actually put us right next to each other I might look slightly skinnier yet she weights 10kgs less than me at 60kg. This seems extraordinarily lot, could you please explain to me how this could be possible, I have heard the "heavy bones" rumor is a complete myth. I can't get over my weight, however I'm happy with my overall appearance otherwise as I'm healthy, I exercise and I look skinny enough, wearing a size 10. Could you please help me? Thank you, I look forward to your reply.

I do not know your bone structure which means that you may be the weight you are supposed to be due to your bone structure as I explained to you earlier. If you are exercising and feeling fine at the weight you are presently at, then maintain that weight.

Dear Renee,

According to you I'm 11kg overweight. In some articles it was explained that this weight is normal for my height. Should I weight at around the 60kg mark for my height then? Also, any good ideas on how can I loose the extra kilos as being "overweight" is not something I'm happy with. I roller blade to work, jog for 20minutes twice a week and play tennis etc. I also eat healthy after work, but at lunch I have to have carbs as otherwise I wouldn't be able to function properly.

Thank you.

Your weight is approximately 11kg overweight which is not much. We all are different and some people may have a 'heavier' bone structure then others so in turn they may weight more. We call it 'big, medium, or small' boned. It is important to use weight ranges for height if the bone structure is unknown.
